Does the LV 'see' the steering rack (and why would it need to)? Keep it short, I don't need to know the hard stuff.

Short version - YES.

Long version - YES, it wants to know if you are turning so it can control shocks accordingly. I don't recall if it has any control over steering sensitivity or not.

You are correct it adjust your shocks while turning

the rb3 racks for the talon are rebuildable, but will have to be taken off the unit .
