Talon tailgate ?

I'm hoping to find a tailgate for a 1000x-4 the can extend the bed buy about 12"and I want it to swing open on one side... But might have to break out the welder and make my own.

Impressive (but expensive!) Of all of them I've seen thus far, this is the one that looks the best. It's robust, affords substantially more space, and (importantly) it mounts in such a way as to not intrude upon the existing space. Some of the other models mount inside the bed area and narrow the opening in the process. I'm going to have to give this some serious consideration.

I'm in thinking the same thing. I wish the spare tire mount was a bolt on option. I would only install it on out of town rides other times it would be in the way.

I'd be happy with one that just extended 6" back from the bed. I'm going to make one out of wood and then take it to a buddy of mine who works in steel fabrication and see if he can laser cut/form/powder coat it. Hopefully we'll make it out of Aluminum, but it might be steel.
