I am going to run an 8 inch tablet as well. I do like this guy's tablet mount that flips open to access the cubbies behind. My plan was to build a .375" thick aluminum block off plate for the original cluster area and ram mount a tablet, it would sit higher up than yours to clear the switch panel below. Now i may have to reconsider my layout seeing his mount. 🍻
