Anyone have experience with this winch set up. It is a 12v winch, comes packed in a portable toolbox. 4000 lb capacity. Seems like it would be an ideal add on for the rear winch or used in conjunction with the front winch for those bad spots. What is you experience?
Thanks much.

Has no one seen this. Go to superwinch.com. It really is a neat setup. What do you think? I was not thinking it would replace the front which, but be a supplement plus can be used to pull from the rear or side as needed.

Looks like a cool idea. I think i'd set it up to pull from the 2" receiver and add one to the front end so you could pull from front or rear. I may have considered this if I had known about it. Being able to easily remove it using the 2" receivers would solve a lot of problems

ehart, that's what I was thinking. It's no slouch either rated at 4000 lbs.

Did anyone ever go with the winch in a box? Considering this myself.

I'd like to know as well. Always wondered how to winch out if I go in nose first and have to winch straight back. The 2" receiver mount would do the trick.
I've seen videos of the complicated/genius snatch block and M point systems that will pull in reverse from a front mounted winch. They were all carefully set up in the perfect spot between trees. Don't expect to be in that situation and besides, if you have that many trees around, just force winch the nose around until you can pull yourself back out.

I think one could put together the components to equal that, and have a 2" receiver mount, for about half the cost. If you don't weld, a 2" receiver mount is $65.

The rest of the kit is common fare.
