Having installed super atv 3500 winch, superatv full skid plate, front and rear arm guards, front and rear bumpers, bed rails and wheels and tires. looking to ad premium syn oil . Any other suggestions?
For my first service, whether it was warranted or not:
Engine oil
Diff oil (also installed T-locker)
Check clutch
Air filter (was perfect)
Fixed toe alignment
Best thing to help it down the road is not to take it to a dealer for service. Doing it yourself will ensure it's done right and a whole lot cheaper too. But if you insist going that route I'd say checking everything they did when you get it back.
DO IT YOURSELF ! SAVE HUNDREDS ! IT WILL BE DONE CORRECTLY ! But if you have to take it to a dealer DON'T let them check the valves , 100s more wasted . Then when you get it home CHECK EVERYTHING THEY DID ! Check every fluid level and every bolt and nut they touched . Then you should be fine .
I have a local Honda dealer that will be doing the locker install for me. I have changed oil and diffs myself a few times and its not difficult....just patience
Curious, does the P520 have the same battery box cover issue as many P500s had with the upper bolt spinning? Wish I had the dealer remove mine to see the issue before heading home. It took some DIY fix to replace their upper bolt design.
IF I can do it on my P500, it’s pretty easy: oil drain and change; same for diff fluids; clean out spark resistor cache on end of muffler; R&R spark plug; etc. I also wired in some exterior and interior lights via the official accessory wiring accessory harness; all the above from (where else) Amazon. Figure saved a wad of Single malt $$$$. Take time and follow U-tube instructions and/or get a manual for $25 to really get into the machine. Good Luck
