I can confirm 38 front and 43 lbs back. I just put STI HD9 7" x 15" wheels and Tusk Terrabyte Aramid (kevelar) 30 x 10 tires on and they weigh 53lbs.

Looking at the same tires and wheels. How do you like them?

Mike,
What offset and spacers (if any) did you use? Looking to get the same setup.

No discernable loss in power. Great for all but mud. Run at about 8 lbs. Several friends with razor 1000's and they appear to wear very well! In short I really like them and would buy them again. Make sure you get the aramid version.

6+1 front, 5+2 rear, no spacers. I considered 6+1 all around with inch and half spacers on the rear but wasn't sold on spacers. It would be the better way to go if you don't mind spacers.

What about the weight of just the wheels without tires? Thanks!

I know it's been awhile since the last post was made, but I'm in the process of selecting my next tire. And to do so, having a clear understanding of what the stock tire and wheel separately weigh is important.

So after digging in a bit, any tire in the 30 or 32 inch range with a minimum of 8 plys is either just under 40 or slightly over generally speaking. This is tire only - no wheel. Based on an earlier post by @IDIOT, the weight of the stock Talon rims/wheels is 14.2 lbs front, 14.6 lbs rear. Which means the rubber that came stock on my Talon come in at an underwhelming 23.8 lbs and 28.4 lbs. Am I high? I have mountain bike tires beefier than that (JK).

I know they are 28's and 6 ply, but holy testicle Tuesday it's no wonder I took a puncture in one the first month of ownership. Why would Honda ship an off road product with crepe paper meats? I get cost cutting and the need for speed but, but, but...

@DRZRon1, that's ~27% increase of mass from stock. And based on your tires selection I'm guessing a 30" - right?

Would have been nice if they would have outfitted the stock machine with 8 ply 30" tires initially and tuned it for that. But hey, if grandma had balls she'd be grandpa.

I found 4 new takeoffs plus a spare of 30x10x15 for $200 - they are round/black/hold air - get me where I need to get but probably a crap tire

yes - weight went up - it’s physics - there’s a lotta stuff in the talon I wish was better outta the box

nobody put a gun to my head to buy it

I learned on here tires are temporary anyway

since I have an older machine with marginal ps - weight and a rounded profile is what to watch for - no issues with the ps with these - thankfully
