Have a ‘21 700-4D. Got new tires to put on the stock aluminum wheels (27x9-12 and 27x11-12). My old tires are the stock 25x8-12 and 25x10-12. I would like to buy a new steel 12” wheel so as to mount an old front tire (25x8-12) to use as a spare. What are your thoughts? Is this the way to go considering different stock front & rear wheel offsets? Any better way to do this? I’m not interested in buying a full set of wheels and a set of all the same size tires. My spare as planned above would be for only emergency use to get back to home or a repair facility. Your thoughts…THANKS

BTW: I bought Tusk Terrabites tires to replace the OEM treads. Got 850mi out of the OEM tires, mixed blacktop/trail use.

I am kinda doing what you want to do also.Just take one of the fronts and put it on the and ck for clearance problems. If none buy a front steel wheel. But on the back as a spare with a 25 its going to fight alot. You would be better off with a used 27 tire for your spare. If not take your best 25 and keep the air up about 20psi.Because of the diff being locked in the rear.

Yeah, was going to check out the front to rear with the 25”. Good idea though pumping that 25” spare up to 20 psi or sidewall max, that certainly would help. Thanks John!
