P1000 Size of spacers for the front shocks

New spacers cut at 3/4 from a steel supply company for 2.50 for both. Thought we were pretty ingenious with our woods spring compression took. Stick spring in your hitch use and use tie downs to compress. Took 1/2 hour for both done in! It's safer quicker and easier to use works awesome! Good hint.

That's clever work there @CumminsPusher. The reese hitch will keep it stable when ratcheted evenly and allow it to be a easy job. With this method I could change out both in less than 30 mins. Thanks.

I've got spring compressors at home but I'm glad I forgot them this worked better.
Ok now that they are in the 2" is a little big and we had to take them back apart and oval the rounds a bit and reinstall.The 3/4 spacer worked very well we have been beating the hell out of it and wow! Big difference! Wow! Love it, it takes the rough stuff way better not bottoming out near as much feels lots more aggressive and the steering now stays up with us. I really suggest this to anyone worked out very well very happy!

What keeps the springs from walking in and out on the spacer now that you don't have the factory assembly against them to hold the springs in a centered position?

The shock has three ridges that hold the lower spring retainer. When we squished the spacer a little it catches all three really well. I'm pretty sure we won't have another problem it's holding well. We were hitting jumps and whoops really hard with no problems after we "adjusted " it. This worked so well that I'm going to try to preload the rear in the same way

Pipe is made with the OD being constant and the ID changing with thickness or schedule of pipe. 2 inch pipe is 2 3/8' OD, the ID of schedule 40 (std wt) 2 inch pipe is 2.067", schedule 80 (heavy wt) ID is 1.939"
