I could not find the old equipment in question.

I contacted the author and it was confirmed that the dozer had been mostly cut up and hauled out for scrap. I believe the above to be the remaining pieces, as you can see the torch marks on certain parts.

On a previous trip to this canyon, I had seen a headframe In The distance up a road that had degraded too much for even me to try. So I did a bit of hiking just to see what was there.

Just relics of the past...
