P500 Shifting question

Picked up the 2017 yesterday. Short rides so far but the shifting in auto is really smooth comparedared to maunal. Buddy told me to go to the glass shop down the road and order a sheet of lexan cut to size for a windshield. He put one on his razor for $60. I will give it a try.
