i did the bolt on mounts and love themNo one answered - - I'm astonished! Okay, the winch hook is connected to a shackle. The clevis or shackle mount is available in either a weld-on or bolt-on form. Fairly inexpensive, and convenient for doubling the winch power by using a snatch block etc.
Another view of them. Mine are bolt-on. If using weld on, they would be moved in-board about and inch or so, to line up with the frame mounts of the bumper. If I ever ding up the bumper and need to re-paint, I'll probably do that.

looks great i have tried 3 sets of them and can't get them to line up and close, how do u do it1/4” i believe.
yes please i need the same answer how do u close themWhat's the recommended way of closing them? I'm a bit of a perfectionist and wouldn't want to chew the heck out of it using a channel lock or vise grip. Any suggestions?
I have seen you fly/land near the horse troughs! My buddy and I thought you were crashing at first. We were amazed and what a coincidence to hear from the pilot. It was a day after the Reno Air Races two years ago.Speaking of Mt. Siegel, here's a picture of my Husky on top. This is a dicey place to land, as the approach upwind from the lee side of the mountain and you need to fly "at" the mountain below peak level and then roll-out and slow down on a fairly steep shale slope on the east side while maintaining enough energy to reach the top. You need not a lot of wind and that causes too much turbulence in the lee of the mountain. Arrive with too much energy and you may be in the rocks overshooting on the west side. I practiced the approach, without landing, a few times over the weeks before committing to land there.
(Sadly I sold the Husky a few days ago. With the Covid vaccine damage to my heart, there's no way the FAA would approve me for flying again.)
