Hey guys, I’m having trouble with my passenger side seat belt latch laying in the seat, is this normal? Drives me nuts!! Are any of you having this issue and if so, what did you do to correct it? I don’t want it ruining my seat when people sit on it.

I put a small tool bag between the two latches and run a bungee across the to hold them up.

That's how it's always been on my machine.

I’ve thought about putting zip tie on it, if it were made the same as the driver side it wouldn’t be a problem, seems to be piss poor fit and finish on Honda’s part. Drives me crazy but if that all I have to complain about, that’s not that bad lol!!

Mine did the same thing. Passenger side. Piss me off...

I really thought it was a fluke deal, guess it’s more common than what I thought. I can’t understand why they left it like that.

On my 700 both seatbelts stay up. Maybe you can buy just the passenger side only? Just a thought!

I’ll look into that, I honestly figured mine was an isolated incident. Still hard to believe that Honda would pass that and ship it.

This is just an uneducated guess, but maybe its like that cuz the two are so close on the 500 vs the wider machines. That way you dont click into the "wrong" one if you are not looking or in a hurry...i know the belts in my old truck wouldnt go in the middle one by design so you couldnt get them crossed up.

It’s a possibility.

I thought it laid down so it was out of the way when not in use. There would always be a "driver" so it stays up.

My 2017 has the same floppy passenger side. Only problem about seatblet latch to me was the speed limiter,...fixed that quickly.

Both of mine do it, not a big deal to me so I just deal with it. If you think that thing is annoying under your ass get some harnesses.
That’s the first I’ve heard that both are doing it. My drivers side really doesn’t have any play, that’s why it seems so off that the passenger side would. It’s not the biggest deal in the universe, just aggravating. When someone gets in the passenger side they are always sitting on it and trying to dig it out of their backside lol.
