Yea. I didn't know how far back it sits

Hey, I thought about claiming it to there. @joeymt33 has a good location in his Honda. Nice because the seats can flip up without the can. I have the mount but just not taken the time to install. I would prefer to have some type of quick release clamps that could go on the rear seat bar that could hold the mount. Mainly because I have only hauled gas on the Overland trips so I would only install on trips I knew I would need.

This is my dilemma as well

I used this setup in case I ever needed to take fuel... had to use the back seats shortly after installing it and haven't ever put in back on.

Here you can see how little clearance there is between the seat and the mount.

In hindsight I wish I had mounted it so the fuel port on the rotopax can was on the right side. As it is now, it will only sits flat against the grab bar when the port is on the left.

By the skin of your teeth!

@Hondoman is that a factory bed-mat or a custom job? I've got a homemade with some interlocking gym floor tiles we had left over, but I've got my eye out for a better material as this stuff is soo light just a little wind will pull it up and out while trailering.

It's a stall mat from Tractor supply co. I layed it out and marked with a silver sharpie then cut it with a jigsaw. No way would it blow out. I like it.

It was this one:
Utility Rubber Mat, Black, 4 ft. x 3 ft x 1/2 in. at Tractor Supply Co.

Since my original thread got locked, I started this new one. Shown below is a 2 gallon mounted to the rear grab bar. The can and threaded stud/handle must be removed to raise the right rear seat but the rest of the mount can stay attached.

Looks good 👍 I attached my Rotopax to the head rest on my 700-2, I used standard Rotopax mounts, just drilled a couple of holes in the head rest.
