Good advice. I bought the hook at Harbor Freight (probably cast in an unheated factory in the Chinese mountains by slave labor in a re-education ‘camp’.
Looked at it, turned it sideways, bought a few washers as spacers, did a little grinding on a bolt head to fit the 1 1/4” square tube. Duct tape to hold together when assembling.
Just what I wanted- hook close tothe frame for under $10.
