I am NOT a technician so perhaps the rest of you would have figured this out quicker but here it goes.

Went out last night to ride to neighbors and had two folks with us so I wanted to put up the back seats. NEITHER one would raise. Bed was latched so I knew that was not the issue. The top of the seats would come up about an inch and clearly were not latched but something was impairing raising them. Given that both had the issue (vs. just one) I assumed there was another unnecessary "safety" latch somewhere. I raised the bed also but didnt see anything. Left it alone as it was dark so they just sat in the bed for the ride.

This morning I searched this forum, google, YouTube, but only found people telling me how to USE the seat. One actually said you had to take the seat back off to do anything with it. So I went out a while ago now that I can see and realized the folding lumbar portion that you latch to enable you to put the seats down and came loose and the cushion had slid back on BOTH. I simply raised the bed which gave enough room to flip it back over and latch it the way it should be, put the bed back down and whaaalaaaah. Seats worked perfect. Sometimes the simplest thing. What confused me is that BOTH had the problem so I didnt think it was that simple. WTF.

I was fixing to post this. Seems several people have closed the seat without stowing the back.

The seat back has to be stowed or it will catch and not allow it to flip up.
