Yeah I know that, the problem is I don’t really like the commercial stuff, too flimsy. The only one I have found that’s actually fit a 1000-5, and strong is Ranch Armour and it’s 1600.00 to my door. That’s not going to happen. So I,m designing one, and I have that skill set
Weight = more issues that you may already have, the more weight you have, the more probability you will have with the stock springs being way to soft for the load of your machine and cargo, which means, new shocks, you can't change out the springs on stock shocks that I know of?

Not worried about that, the weight is far less than the payload ratings. Trust me, the back end can handle it, ie. 60-80 lbs

Those are some fine looking bumpers. I was thinking about this one. Not to bad of a price at $224. The reviews are good. What you guy think about it. Mainly just want it to look good and to protect against sliding or backing into a tree.

Was looking into this bumper and I was right. It does connect into the tailgate hardware, beware of this mount.
