I searched the forum for rear brake pad replacement and didn't see any threads come up so I figured I would try to do one. This is on a 2014 700-4.

Start by taking off the right rear tire.
Remove the two bolts holding the caliper on. These take a 12mm socket. The bottom one is aggravating. The top one I used two long extensions.

Next you want to remove this bolt to access the pads. It is also 12mm.

Now take a flat head screw driver and turn the piston in clockwise.

Remove the old pads and install the new ones. The one with the wear tab goes on the piston side.

Put this bolt back in. Be sure to line up the little tab on the back of the pad with the slots in the piston.

Slide the caliper back on the rotor and install the two caliper bolts.

Hope this helps someone.

Very helpful write up.
Thank you.
How many miles/Kms did you get out of your rear brake?

Glad it's helping someone. They had 2500 miles on them. They could have gone a little longer. I had to do the fronts so just went ahead a did the back while I was at it.

Thanks for this. Looking for a tutorial for the fronts now. As of now, I can't find it anywhere here or on the internet :) Are they as simple as wed' expect like on any car? Just like to look things up ahead of time to properly get everything together. Thanks.

I knew I should have wrote one up for the fronts too but I was running out of time that day. They are like on a car. Easier to do than the back in my opinion. Maybe you can write something up when you do yours and post it on here. 👍
