Tore the cv boots up pretty bad today ( A Arm guards already ordered. ) The quickest way to get back on the trails is to pop a new cv axle in. I'll replace the boots on the old one and keep it for a spare, someone might need it on a group ride. The one I'm replacing is the rear drivers side. I called the dealer to get a part number but the guy wasn't real sure if Honda references right and left from the drivers seat or standing in front of it. He eventually gave me a part number and said if it's the wrong one I could send it back. I'd rather get it right the first time. So the drivers side rear cv axle assembly, is that considered the right or the left? I have two part numbers RT. 42250-50-HL4-A01 and LT. 42350-HL4-A01 . Ordering online to save about $100 compared to the dealers price and want to make sure I get the right one.

You do know you will have to still build the axle right? Honda only sales 1/2 shaft kits. Easy is not what you suggest.

If you want easy, you should just get the Rhino.

The two brands I was looking at was Rhino and All Balls because they are already assembled. Just pull the old one and pop a new one in.

@GlockMeister recently used the all balls boots to replace boots on one of his axles. I used the Honda kit - the bands were a pain and if you buy or have the tools I think the all balls bands are easier.

i Just replaced my inside boot on that axle the other day. It was a lot easier than I thought it was...
I was hoping it was just more time consuming than challenging. This way I'll have a spare in case someone needs it.

Hell I'm confused again. From the drivers seat I need the left rear. But the links you provided show a right rear and an undetermined front. Is it right or left that I need? Thanks again.
According to rocky mt...the inner and outer all balls are the same front and rear...give me a min ill see if i can find my extras...got everything packed up

As you set in the vehicle, left is the drivers side and right is the pasanger side.
That's the only way I have known. But again, the guy at the dealer had no idea and gave me the part number for the right side.

Get the little band tool and cutter ...itll make the job alot easier
Agreed. The band tool is a "gotta have" to do the job right. Costs about $40-$50, but it's worth it when the job is done. Dad always said you can do a good job without the right tools, but it takes a hell of a lot longer, is more aggravation, and making it look right is twice the challenge.
