After a month of weathering the storm of Facebook marketplace, i sold our AC wildcat trail today.
I had been checking dealers in the area to find a blue 1000x lv for a week or so.
I found 2 at a dealer a couple hundred miles away. Luckily they were cheaper than those with red ones. So, I put down a deposit and I'm going Saturday to pick it up.

Warranty is only as good as your dealer. I bought an aftermarket warranty that my dealer sells and uses. Too many horror stories of Honda denying warranty claims, but again it could be the dealer. Back when I was a tech at a Honda dealer 20 years ago, we had a CBR600 with a damaged motor. Honda rep wanted to see the damage, came in and immediately denied the claim because of a Fram oil filter. Our service writer pointed out in the owner's manual that it says "Honda oil filter or equivalent" and then the rep ok'd the claim. So a good example of a dealer standing up for the customer and not just bending over when Honda says no.

I personally paid $1300 and never used the warranty. Just made me feel good to know I had it

I went ahead and got the warranty for the same reason. Just feel better having it. I bought an ext warranty on the car I drive to work. It's about 500 miles from expiring and it's never been back to the dealer.
