P1000 Plastic rivet question

Okay that may not be what they're called but that's what I call them lol. Anyways, I noticed Honda is using a new style on my 1000. Instead of prying up on the center you push down on center pin. My question is will the old style work in the holes for the new style? I buy the old style in bulk. Thanks

The old style will work if the holes are the same size. I found that the ones with the center push had smaller holes and therefore the pop up kind in other places on the p1k wouldn't fit. I bought a container of different sizes of the pop up style cause the ones with the center push tend to be too fragile. That way I can replace the center push kind as they break.
