So the folks here that get their air filters filthy in 400 miles... what setup are you running at the front end? I have an 18 and it has the stock snorkel facing the rear, and the coarse foam prefilter. I have been neglecting my air filter (at 1300 now). I should have learned my lesson with the 500 (had to check air filter every other tank of fuel).

To those with 18's or newer and the updated front end intake, what are you seeing for mileage when changing filters? I have not ridden in excessive dust yet. Mostly road miles.

I modified my '16 model so the pre-filter faces rearward and I changed mine at around 8,000 miles. It really wasn't excessively dirty. It DID have some oil residue in the box though (EGR system???). Could've gone another couple thousand miles on it. For the engine size, it is a relatively large filter. Lots of surface area so it'll take a lot of dust to get to the point of needing replacement. Like yours, mine has mostly road miles.

I checked my 2018 at 1200 miles and it was pretty clean. I changed it at 4000 miles in the picture. I probably would have changed it a little bit earlier if I would have checked it before 4000. Most of my miles are trail miles.

Through the hood snorkel with a pre-filter at 750 miles on mine. Would probably still look brand new but I didn't have the snorkel and pre-filter setup for the first ~200 miles. Lot of really dusty rides in that time.

I'd consider the filter on the left very good and I'd keep running it
