P700 Pioneer 700 with Can-Am Commander Shocks

I offered 250 and he immediately rejected saying the are over 200 a piece brand new, I will pay the 300 cause I really want to do this modification. Plus like y'all say you get better then or equal too ride as the Fox shocks for way less and a lift kit.

Usually just under $90 per shock new. Then add springs and associated hardware, they do get expensive new.

Maybe the best upgrade you'll make to that machine! Congrats!

I agree, best upgrade on the 700. It will be worth every pennie. don't forget to order the bushing you need for the rear shocks. plus you are going to gain about 2 inchs of lift.

And just to check I understand, the fronts don't need bushings replaced just the rears?

Fronts are direct replacements, no modifications needed.
The rears will need new bushings and steel sleaves

Yes the Honda bolts are larger diameter. So you replace the bushings and the sleeves to acomidate the original bolts.

I jacked up the front and put on jackstands. The after removing the tire and shocks, with just a little persuasion I was able to reinstall original bolts.

The rears are a little more challenging, have to unhook sway bar and upper A arm connection. It would be a lot easier if you could compress the springs a little. A long lineup punch will help a LOT!

We need a youtube video on this (for the rears) lol. Is there not a way to compress the spring during installation?

Not that I had available at the time. There isn't a lot of room to work there. Maybe compress the springs and secure with big tye wraps and then cut after install.

Buy them. they are so much better than stock and as good as the Fox Shocks plus a bonus lift...just ask Spifid. He drove mine around one night for a couple of hours with the xt's on the front only and like them! I sure like them a lot.

But I sure liked wheeling his turbo charged fox shocks equipped 700....almost didn't give it back to him!
