Had to come back and look at that a little more. Nice line with the bend, kinda rolls with the hip bar.
Looks like it still might work as an armrest? Maybe consider clips for the nets, I use mine.

Coming along nicely. Although I like the fit at the bottom front corner of your original ones better, any chance you can get these to be tighter. And what about the amount of structural bracing in your originals compared to the new ones? Or perhaps you haven't finished bracing. Just asking buddy.

the original is actually to tight rubs when shutting and its over braced which add to weight you have to brace at the bends which are the weak points trust me when all said and done with the plastics skinned ull love it
