I heard they had some contamination issues there

No contamination, I was being a smart ass referring to the sulfur in the hot spring water, smells like rotten eggs. While back the EPA let some contaminated water get in to the Animas river but the river in Pagosa Springs is the San Juan.

For those that remember the event, we will be right at the site of the Animas River disaster of several years ago where all of the mine effluent turned the river yellow and made national headlines. There is a still a cleanup, filtering and monitoring operation at the site.

I have my 19 sticker and I used it a week in 19, so you think they will understand transferring 51 weeks to 2020? HA! My first time to CO in 19, it's really different than the trails in NW Arkansas. Absolutely beautiful, most aren't technical trails unless you ride with Bad Bob @ Jackal. I will let him explain that! HA! We all had a great time!

I'll have to think about some of the more pucker worthy trails that we'll run. Engineer Pass springs to mind first and then a few others less so. Admittedly they aren't difficult trails to drive, but the long drop off one side can sure make them seem worse. I'll take the long runs, great views and semi tame ratings over risking a rollover at every climb. I'll get everyone comfortable the first day and then we can go for broke.

Overlooking Lake Como. Several hundred feet steep drop off that face. Poughkeepsie Gulch takes off down the valley to the left. There is a bypass around what had been a jeeper only ledge. To the right outside the pic is the western side of California Pass.

Hey, Biteme, my father grew up in Aztec. His father was the Justice of the Peace there for several years. I spent lots of my childhood in that area, visiting aunts, uncles and cousins. If you don't mind me asking, are you in the Aztec/Farmington area?

Definitely! At least come ride with us a day or two if you can swing it @Biteme. The Triangle motel might have a room available as it will be end of season or make acomodations with another ride attendee.
