Just made my reservation request through VRBO for what appears to be a nice unit within the UTV-legal area of Silverton (subject to acceptance by the property owners of course). We're planning to arrive on Aug 30 and will be departing a day early on Friday, the 4th. Really looking forward to meeting and riding with you folks.

Having never attended one of these group rides before, what is everyone doing re communications gear? I've got one of the ubiquitous Baofang BF-F8HP handhelds (callsign is KI5FOE) and an external antenna mounted on the Talon. If others are using 2m/70cm rigs, what frequency are you using?

Any other hardware suggestion?

As I said, it’s what I’ll have mounted in my Talon. It’s currently in the P5, I’ll be moving it over so I don’t know yet for sure, but most likely it will be on the ROPS top left.
