P1000 New Member, First Post...

Just joined up and this is the first post, hung around at another forum, but it was a bit slow. Look forward to some good stories here and participating as well.

Just hit the 100 mile first service and it went well, pulled the skid plate (fortunate to have a shop and a hoist...) to avoid making a huge mess and she is running great. I've had great luck with Honda's products for years and this one is no exception. My only complaint is the dang straight cut gears in the rear differential howl...I'm guessing it's normal, but it sure is noisy...anyone else have a comment on differential noise??

FYI...got about 20 mpg on the first tank. Fuel started to flash with about 2.5 gallons left.

welcome aboard. i also have the diff noise and used lucas 75140 fluid which helped a bit but it it still noisy.

As for your pioneer. 100 miles you say!. Give it some more time. The gears will polish out and changing to a better oil helps too.

I'm not starting a new thread for these pictures, but some of you asked for pictures of the shop.Outside and one inside with the bathroom. We used heavy gauge corrugated with no finish, to let it rust and look like an old machine shop. Used the left over to "wallpaper" the toilet area.
