Well not looking good for Team Honda both have been dead trailside at 0 mph for over 30 minutes:

T903 at MM32 lap 1
T940 at MM38 lap 1


Brandon Sims who started front row with Honda Talon T903 just at MM 105 only 2 miles shy of completing first lap, sitting in main pits.

I guess it should be expected with a custom untested car. Once they get the bugs worked out it's going to be a front runner at the next race.

Snapped shock was Chris Polvoorde T940 is back up and running over 74mph, he is 3/4 of a lap down from leader.

Yesiree he has been holding a 20/21 mile distance ahead of the leader for the past 60 miles or so, so he is maintaining a decent pace.

Not enough time though. Time limit is halfway through, neither Talon has completed 1 full lap out of 4. T940 made it 103 miles and T903 made it 32 miles and trailered by interstate back to main pits.

To give you an idea of the course. there are 43 entries in the UTV Pro Turbo class. Of which 13 machines 30% did not complete the first lap. With 4 hours left of the 9 hour time limit right now only 9 machines are on pace to complete all 4 laps at 107 miles each (428 miles total).

Well don't know for sure what broke the camel's back on each of the two Team Honda Honda Talons. Here is what I could see from live tracking.

T903 - Elliot Watson made it to MM33 and stopped, after about 3.5 hours was trailered down I-15 back to main pits. Never continued. Don't know what happened yet.

T940 - Christopher Polvoorde made it to MM 40, had snapped right front shock, got repairs and in about 2 hours continued to MM105 at the main pits where an axle was replaced according to a live interview in pits during axle swap. Completed lap 1 at 5 hours 11 minutes. Stopped progress in lap 2 within minutes, returned to main pits. Don't know what happened to him after that.

With 2 hours left in the race, by 7:54PM PST both machines were sitting in parking lot away from event and main pits.

Top machines were completing the 107 mile laps in just over 2 hours each. Difference between 1st and 5th place was about 35 minutes for 4 laps 428 miles. Here is the list of laps completed and times, NOT listed in order of finishing. Brandon Sims T913 finished 1st in 8:27.
