Just put all your food in a bear bag to string up each night and pack some heat. The FCW and the NPW are black bear, mountain lion and wolf areas to be sure. Rattle snakes are unlikely, but I suppose a potential risk. I’ve been reading the experiences of many a MC traveler to assist in my preparations.
That is an affirmative, and something I already have both of.Just put all your food in a bear bag to string up each night and pack some heat.

I prefer throwing mine under someone else’s tent for safe keeping.Just put all your food in a bear bag to string up each night and pack some heat.

There’s one problem with that....I prefer throwing mine under someone else’s tent for safe keeping.

July is usually fine. Need some snowThe other thing that may detriment the ride would be Idaho's famous forest fires.
That’s of very little concern as well!! You’ll have to find a different wet blanket to throw on it lol. Much of the forest along the route has suffered from fires and heavily burned in recent years. The other thing that may detriment the ride would be Idaho's famous forest fires.
Ok, well I missed the post where you affirmed your participation in the MC Trek. So yeah if you’re coming along, then you will certainly be traveling a greater distance than I. Guess you should have moved to Idaho.Yarp
Do you not have a plate?Been talking with the Idaho County DMV in Grangeville about acquiring the Idaho restricted vehicle license plate and the OHV permit sticker through the mail. Waiting on a supervisor to call me back but the lowerlings are telling me I’d have to come in personally for this.
Not for my 1000-5, no. But if this is going to be an issue, perhaps I’ll take the 1000-3 instead.Do you not have a plate?
I didn't have to in May of 2017. You can get a permit through the mail. Here's a link to viewing the whole IDBDR but it gives you a zooming Satellite map of which the MC route is mapped. It's the east-west red line.Been talking with the Idaho County DMV in Grangeville about acquiring the Idaho restricted vehicle license plate and the OHV permit sticker through the mail.
