The 700 has the same drive train as my 650 2003 carbureted Rincon. It's fuel injected and 680.
Rincon is 600 miles and takes 3.5 quarts with filter.

I guess I should’ve done more research before I bought the 700.
Having to change the oil every 4-5 weeks seems like overkill.

On an offroad machine lugging around the weight it does i am not sure I would push it that far unless of catastrophe but hey if it works for you go for it.
That is the best part of these things, we are all free to do as we see fit.
I will change it this weekend..i won’t do it every 600 miles but I won’t let it get to 2000 again

A suggestion.
Change to Amsoil 10W40 ATV oil. That's what I run in my Rincon. Quieter and smoother shifts than any oil I have used. Longer oil change intervals with this oil I can understand.
If I buy a Pioneer it will get Amsoil.

:oops:

That's the lowest oil change interval I've ever heard. (I'm NOT arguing with you) What's the oil capacity on a 700?
@Diyguy answered it for you.

Actually, I should have said the service intervals are 600 miles. Those include things like valve adjustment, check this and that, etc. 500 is the same. That's pretty typical of old school Honda stuff. I think the 1000 goes 1200 or something?

I'm sure you go over that to some degree, but not 2000 miles.
