UTVGUIDE listed HP at 104.

Honestly the I-4wd was something I feared as well, but as of yet I've had 1 issue with the system and that was because of a regulator/rectifier that wasn't plugged in and drained the battery.

The new Honda Talon UTV is two machines – both 999cc and roughly 114 horsepower.

Hopefully, the 114 is right ...... lol

I put the big africa cam in mine and lost so much torque off idle it wouldnt accelerate up steep climbs in 4wd pulling 30's, just slip the clutch and not rev over 1800 rpm wide open. I had to put my gear reduction back in. Big cams moves the hp and torque to a higher rpm range and the DCT engages right off idle. Hopefully they geared it lower than the pioneer but i did see where they said low was 42% lower than high, which is what the pioneer is.

After more research, they went after the XP 1000 razr. It competes. Real good suspension #'s , h.p. at 104 through a much more efficient drive. razr is 110h.p I believe

After the UTVunderground article - I am liking it more. Their launch left a lot to be desired but the article give a much better overview of the ride

The launch was piss poor, looked like NO prep.

“Ok guys we’ve got the website built and a lot of articles are already written. Drive it out read the TelePrompter and we can move on to this BAMF minivan”

You can go to the website also and see it now. No HP specs just mentions cam and injectors.

I’m actually impressed with the bed in these. For a sport model it looks good sized. As for the electronic crap, I would prefer manual locking differentials.

I’m sure we will see a aftermarket bed extender tailgate once released as well.

Might be surprised when the 4 seater is announced, 40 accessories available at launch, more to come. That cubby hole in dash can hold the hardware behind a nice 8" touchscreen.

He may be great behind the scenes but he is not good in front of the camera.


3-4 lovely ladies like this who can speak clearly and get years correct are much better than Wayne and the other guy.

It’s a sport SxS not a UTV lets be honest here there’s a correlation.

I just wanted a decent Sporty UTV with no CVT and a locking diff. But no, it has a lot of electronics to control the 4wd instead of keeping it simple. Download the large image and look at all of those electric connectors! that stuff will not like getting dunked (what will that be like after 10 years). I know someone with the 1k will preach on about how cool I-4wd is, but I would rather have driver involvement, that's why we all like the paddle shifters.

Does anyone know about power steering? I read it had manual? (EDIT: I see a motor near the steering shaft in one image)

I hope this is priced right...
