Does anyone know if preloading the Fox shocks to get 3 inches of lift would shorten the life of the shock or the springs? My plan is to put SATV arched A arms on my P1000 and the replace the stock shocks with Fox QS3. I’m also considering replacing the progressive springs with single rate ones. Does a

I don’t think you’ll get 3” of lift just from the shocks, you would really have to preload them, I think with preload set you’ll get 1.5”, the other 1.5” of lift/clearance will come from larger tires.

I doubt preloading the shocks as much as you can would effect shock life but it will ride quality.

To change to a single rate is money well spent.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I’m planning on getting the Fox shocks next month and immediately upgrading the spring. I have decent fed if I’m gonna go with TTC alarms or just use SATV arms. I definitely need a little more clearance. I ride wit a couple of guys he have Rangers with 30” tires and I can’t quite clear all the stuff they do.

I went wit SATV, Fox and 30’s. Love the height and have around 17” of clearance.
