Any buck is a trophy to me. Especially when you're young. I have all my small buck antlers from my youth, hanging on the wall. We use to just saw the horns off before we learned to cut the skull plate. I bought some shed caps and attached all my antlers to them. My first buck was Thanksgiving day in 1989.

Both of my sons are grown men now and I have all their small and big bucks hanging on my wall also. I like to look at them and rememberthe details of that hunt. Good memories for sure.

That is super cool to get a bobcat. Congrats to her. Making memories. You going to take it to the taxidermy? What do you do with otters? Fur ?

I put them all in the freezer in case we have them mounted. I have those traps out to keep the beavers out of my pond. The otters are just a casualty of war. I didn't even know we had otters, until a about 10 years ago when we caught one in a trap. This makes 4 otters. Probably 20 beavers. We have the other 2 otters pelts and 2 beavers.

Yup. love trapping. I used to do quite a bit of it but loaned all my gear to my buddy after we declared war on a family of foxes that were mercing his chickens. He had a massive barn fire and lost everything.Take a guess where my trapping gear was stored...

I'll replace it someday.
