Had some time this past Saturday to get my double bow rack built...
Had some scrap metal laying around..

Started by installing the correct size clamp mounts to the top of the roll bar and on on the rear grab handle.. Used some metal spacer so the rack does not contact my mid panel and attached some square tubing to the mounts.. ( gunna use bolts where the slotted head is, did not want to run to the store)

Then I took some 1" metal pipe and cut it to size and marked where my tubing hits it and then milled it down so it sits flat on the square tubing and gives me more welding surface.... (tack welded it in place and protected the mid panel from weld splatter and then removed it to weld it all up... did the same thing with the upper rack mount).

The Kolpin bow holders or gun... mount onto the pipe and you can slide them to accommodate any Bow or rifle and then tighten them down.

test fitted the lower bow, then installed the upper pipe for the 2nd bow... removed 4 bolts and the whole thing comes out.. once the Kolpins are mounted where you need them, no need to remove them from the rack... just remove the whole rack (4 bolts) came out very strong!!

and leave the bar mounts on because they are not in the way of anything...

Painted the rack up and is drying...
I will post a pic when I have both bows mounted...

I like the bow mounts. Will probably be fabing something like this up over the summer for dual Koplin gun boots. Just can't decide if I want something in the cab or off the back. One thing I discovered with this machine is there are not many options out there for carrying a hard gun case.

Same here. I'm mulling over the options and wondering if it's just going to boil down to fabricating something like you said. The boots are what we want for pulling the rifle out quickly IMO. That seat mounted rack is interesting but I read mixed reviews on it.

Nice rig! You're going to need to share some pictures of it hauling elk out.

We have been ridin Polaris for the last 25 years , the places we hunt is very rough!!! pretty much like rock crawlin...
Polaris has been good to me... but the frames just don't hold up?? Every year after the archery Elk hunt I have to fix all the s*** that broke or cracked during the hunt...

So I started researching and heard great things about the Honda frames and durability.... So.. we made the change.
We will test it out this year.

Your change should suit you well. I had the all kinds of problems out of the Polaris Rangers. Running a hunting guide service in SC, I had four, (700, 2 900s, and a 1000), all had major issues. Finally sold two, one stolen, and one caught fire and burnt to the ground. I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER. Switched to Honda 1000-5 three years ago and never looked back. smart move, enjoy your ride worry free

Got the turn signal/Hazard/Horn harness installed.. (They forgot to send me the horn kit, but it arrived yesterday when I got home, just need to install it)
it was a true plug and play... just took some time to route everything...I am pleased with the way it turned out...

Very well organized. Can you advise the ordering Spec’s for the Uni sock and filter??
That hose must be huge. Most of the UNI pods are 3-1/2” or 4” OD. I bout a Gates # 20968 but it has 2-1/2” ID and 3” OD. I’ll gladly change this out if you could supply me the specs as bigger is better as far as intake is concerned

Finally had time to install the SATV full skid... came out really nice!! And the skid does come out all the way to the edge of the frame.

Just got done looking through all of your mods, awesome machine, I have many of the same mods on mine, but looking at yours I want to add the shovel mount and why didn't you go with the rubber door seal on the rear set too. Did this mod on the doors help with dust and get rid of any rattles. Looks good, I have added the rubber seal to my amazon cart.

Looking real nice!! Interested to see if the SATV skid plate has any overhang on the sides of the rig.
Here is a pic, almost flush..

I went with the wider seal on the back doors, because the gap was wider on the backdoors... and yes it works!! the dust no longer pours in!! no more rattles either!!

Here is the link to the shovel

I used these to secure to the shovel... bolt it to the cage mount

and I used these mounts to the cage.
