On my ride yesterday, I stopped and chatted with a couple of guys in a newer Polaris Rzr 570. I told him I seriously considered the 50" Rzr but chose the Honda out of concerns for reliability. He said he will never buy another Polaris after this one. Showed me where the rear cargo area was warping due to excessive heat and how Polaris won't stand behind the machine. Said he's also had a few other issues.
My last machine was a 2001 Sportsman 500 with 2300 miles on it. Belt was beginning to slip, starter was about shot, brakes were shot. Bought it for $800, cleaned it up, rebuilt the carb, new tires, rode it for a summer a few times, then sold it for $2300.
I took it to a local powersports shop to have the carb done and he said that 70% of his shop work was Polaris. He loved them. Said if people stopped buying them, then he would go broke..
