I have a 2016 Honda Pioneer 1000-5 which I love - my usage now is about 70 percent on asphalt and 30 percent on sandy beaches near my house. Given the amount of asphalt time I get major tire wear. Does anyone have experience with using DOT harder compound tires that can still manage soft sand conditions - any recommendations or insights appreciated - at this rate I go through my tires - especially the front set about every two years.....thinking harder DOT compound options might be a good thing.....

Has the front end been aligned? The pioneers are often toed out from the factory. Pretty common issue. Mine was .75” out. Should be 1/8” toe in. Front tires will last much longer!

simple search for alignment on this site will yield many how tos.

Congrats on the first post!

General grabber atx comes in a 28 14. if your running that much pavement thats what i would put on it . Everyone has different opinion on the alignment do some research. at very most zero it out, I run 1/8 toe out seems more stable at higher speed on pavement.
