Any reason I shouldn't pick the 6000lb Viper UTV Elite winch over the 4000lb one for the pioneer?

I want to support the forum so I decided I'm to buy everything through here

It’s just not necessary, 4500 will do all you need.

4500 or 5000 is plenty. I went with 5k just because of the "you never know". With a snatch block and some extra straps you will be fine.

I agree i use a warn 3500 on my p1000 only paid $50 missing the cables. its always pulled when I needed it, but there was a few times it didn't like it. 4500 is about all u need wouldn't go any smaller.

When I bought my P1000 from the dealer, the salesmen took me to the side and told me any extras I added I'd be better off doing it myself or get someone else to do it. For example, the winch install is gonna be billed at 4-5 hours. That's $4-500 just for labor. I went with a Warn Axon 45S and paid a buddy in beer to help me install it.

How did you take care of power?
To take care of power, it is recommended to use an auxiliary battery. I am getting ready to install a winch myself. I created a video on how to setup the aux battery and wiring to get ready for the winch here:
