P1000 Honda Bar Torso Bars

I just noticed the 2017 has what they call Torso bars on each side at the rear of the bed. Has anyone added these to the bed of there 2016? I would love to have these on my 2016 if they could be installed w/o too much trouble.

Anyone know what's underneath that black plastic of bed sidewalls? If it's square tubing, they'd be easy to fabricate.

As I recall, It is square.. you have to take the bedside off to mount the EMP rear bumper I have.
