P1000 Honda 2 Piece Windshield Modification

does anyone have a problem with the 2pc split windshield flapping like crazy when it's opened? i have the rear soft panel and no roof, that might be part of it. once you get over 20mph, it's starts shaking like crazy........

Yes mine does this as well; when closed I would get chatter then I installed neoprene seal on the bottom and the chatter stopped once closed still flaps when open.

Do you remember where u got your seal from, I need something thicker than what comes with it because the gag on the right is bigger than the left and I have tried every possible adjustment. Never had this problem on this windshield on my 700

I have the Super ATV windshield and that thing is floppy as all get out. I'm going to tractor supply to get the better clamps and also going to look into swapping out the super ATV shocks for a set of truck box Dee Zee shocks. They have 70 lbs lift capacity per shock so that should definitely stabilize it. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

That is a toilet paper holder. I put appropriate sized rubber hose on each end. It collapses and expands. Just enough tension to take the flap out.

Yup, mine does the same. I have the roof, but no rear panel.

This deflector works really good to direct what is a decent amount of airflow from the factory windshield.

I agree....for what it costs the tilt part sucks. I had a kolpin on my T4 and it was much easier to use.

This doesn't help with the opening. But just throwing it out there for a windshield option. It gets the light up high, but not in the open for branches to destroy. Drilled and mounted directly to Honda windshield. Has lasted through harsh winter already without issues. The high mount is nice for plowing snow. It is a poor pic because the light bar is on, but I'm sure you get the idea.

Mine rattles like crazy closed so I got a piece of 1/2" pipe insulation and put on the bottom piece, doesn't flap when open.
