P1000 Homemade rear bumper 1000 - 3

Built a rear bumper for a 1000-3, started with 1/4 plywood bracket(3 tries) 2x2 "bumper "to test clearance", Cut out 3/16 x 3 flat bar, 1/2" round bar, drilled hole for bar and welded, drilled hole for bolt, added spacer, put 3/4 stock in frame (slid in frame too far PITA to get out) and tack welded, painted, 1 1/4" tube for bolting bumper bar to bracket, welded brackets, finished.

What I like is $14.58 for metal, $4 for bolts, 2pcs 5' pipe for free. $20 for cans of primer and black spray paint, to build 2 bumpers. Put my buddies on today and had one fender bolt nut broke free and had to weld it to get the bolts out, the plastic melted a little but a washer covered find. I striped one on mine hopefully just a new bolt will work.
