P1000 Holding the rear doors open

To combat excessive heat for rear seat passengers on long trips, I made the pictured "strap" to hold the door open while riding. The hole on the left snaps into the door handle mechanism and the slot fits over the door catch. It works very well and made a significant difference, but it rattles a lot and I'm concerned that with much use it might at least rub the powder coat off and at worse lead to premature failure of the door hardware. Anybody came up with a better way?

Honestly there’s nothing wrong with your simple solution IMHO. You could probably quiet the rattle and protect the paint with some rubber if it bothers you. Door bushings are replaceable and inexpensive so I wouldn’t worry much about hurting those.

pretty cool. maybe plasti dip the ends? and the rubber tubing as mentioned above might work as well

I would use some electrical tape. Quick and easy to replace

looks good. There is a company thats been making these for about 4yrs I think🤔
I have a set for my Talon I got from @Smittyp maybe he remembers the name?
