Here is my Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe I just purchased.
I added the Honda top, Honda dashboard cargo net pockets, Honda rear bumper, front light bar on top, rear pod lights mounted on roll bar under top, Super ATV windshield and winch. (I believe these are the features I will need and have needed in the past - four wheeler and keep CJ7)

I did let my dealer install the added items and I paid a premium for the service; however, it is done and ready to use for the rest of deer season in GA.

Looking back at this I think the Special Edition model is a good deal with all the items from the factory; however, trying to decipher what is on the models is a challenge (Honda website especially) and I like the Phantom Camo better.
I made the decision on the deluxe price not thinking through what added items would run (especially with dealer installation fees) and final cost.

Dropped it off at my hunting club this weekend and it was fogging and rain. Took it for a quick spin and flipped the windshield up so I could see clearly. I like that feature. I did notice the rattle in the doors and will see how that goes in the future.
Anyway few comments for others to think about…….

I wouldn't be surprised if a BOONE & Crockett buck hopped right in for a ride.

Welcome from the mountains of WNC and congrats on the new buggy, there are fixes for the door rattle if you a thread search you will find several fixes for that. I would also consider adding a full skid plate to replace that G string Honda uses. @SuperATV or trail Armor can help you with that. Good luck and happy hunting.
PS. I’m fond of the camo myself

Regarding the Special Edition model . . .

HondaProKevin made a video where he discussed the added features of the SE model and compared the prices of adding the included items individually or purchasing the SE model. He stated it is cheaper to buy the SE with parts and labor included rather than buy the popular items that most of us want individually.

I paid my dealer to install the Honda hard top, windshield, fabric upper doors, and soft cab back. Shortly after I paid the same dealer to replace the soft cab back with the hard cab. The SE model had not been offered when i boguht mine.

First ride in the dark and I need to aim it up some. However, I did not raise the windshield. I will try that soon and let you know.
Thanks. I've been thinking about putting one there on mine. Just worried there will be a glare or the light will reflect off of the windshield

I almost bought a 2021 SE. Would have been over $27K OTD.

My Deluxe Phantom Camo cost me just over $20K OTD.

i've spent right around $7K in aftermarket accessories. Look at my build thread - I've got a TON more more accessories than the SE came with.

No way would buying the SE have even come close.

I was told by an ole 4 x 4 guy to mount light bars head light level for the best light. Went ridding with some guy from not around here, he had his mounted on the roof, first stop. he finished ripping it off by hand and threw it in the bed.

Man it's so good to see buyers going back to the Deluxe! The Deluxe has real 4 WD lock, the axels are bigger than the other P1's. I've got friends with the other P1,s, there either winching or stacking rocks where my Deluxe just went. I find it hard to believe Honda didn't put the Deluxe transmission in the Talon??????
