P700. Speed helps very little in woods, it's got nearly the carrying cap as the 1000 and is slightly more agile. Carries everyone. Also diff lock and no chances of burning clutches from a simple mistake.

I chose the p700, a p500 was a close second but the lack of diff lock swung my vote to the p700. P1k not even considered, I don't want to worry about smoking clutches while fleeing for my life.

I've never ridden anything but my 700. I trust it completely. I voted 700

I started this thread for two reasons...
One was to try to prove, by voting, that the P5 was the most trustworthy sxs on the planet.
The second was to see just how much confidence was left out there in the P1. 4 out of 22 right now and that sucks. Not what it should be and there are a lot of 1000 owners on this forum. I tip my hat to the 4 though, the Devil's on your heels boys and you're sticking by those clutches?!
It's also showing how trusted the P7 is, evidently, a machine you could bet your life on.

The platform is what so awesome about the pk5.. enough power, speed, options and the flexibility of the seats. It's truly a shame it's not Honda solid.

For sheer dependability I'd totally trust a 500 too, but I'll throw one other thing out there as well. If in a forest and had too out run flames I'd really prefer one of our Honda dirtbikes to anything as long as not carting to much load, they get around very quickly. The trouble free mileage they've done is staggering, 13yo and still Honda strong

I'll change the rules a bit.

An HJ 75 Land Cruiser Ute with a flatbed and a 2H engine. Underpowered, bullet proof reliability and not much wider than a P1K. Everything on it is mechanical ... no electronic chit
