2019 talon x. 5000 miles was getting hard to move shift lever between gears. Dealer says its the shift plate under the shift gate. It's rusted and binding up. Anyone experience this? Nothing on the forums I could find.

In gear does the unit try to creep forward with no throttle input?

Have you ever done a clutch relearn?

Did you have it into the dealer or did you just call them and ask?

No it does not move while in gear. I have never done a clutch relearn. Was escorting campers at a music fest and it kept getting harder and harder over 4 days. Finally just left it in gear because it was so hard to move. From the service manual why can't they just clean it up and lube it. Just a pivot point or am I missing aomething.

Since you said it’s at the dealer and you just looked it up in the manual why don’t you pick it up and take the shifter apart try to clean it up

I'd pull the shift gate off and lube this up. That's the "shift plate" per the fische. I'd check your shift arm at the subtrans too, make sure there's nothing wedged in there.:

They called yesterday while I was on the road and not home. The parts guy wasn't well versed. I gave the go ahead to just get it done. I'm leaving on a trip with it next week. After I went into the dealer today I actually realized what they were talking about and would if just done that. I was.actually thinking shift fork or something similar was the issue or shift cable.
