They make nice stuff. Then again, so does Polaris.

I can't remember where I read or saw it...maybe here, but the operator of one of those rental places was talking about machines and reliability. I would have thought Can-am would have been better than PoPo but he said not so, and the Pro-R stuff was much better than CA. Surprise!

I might have been talked into a defender or something, but IMO, Can-am likes to give complex answers to simple questions. Like the front diff thing. WHY do I have to buy the mega bucks version to get a front diff that actually lock? Honda...of all people, have proven that a simple cable works fine. KSS.

Yep for the first time in my life I debated on a Pro R and I literally hate Polaris. I still wouldn’t get one as I have zero interest in a belt drive but it has crossed my mind. If the crap continues with our Mav, I will probably end up getting rid of it and building a turbo 72 inch RaceCo set up Talon R. That was my debate when I bought the Maverick car anyway, but I thought I would give the horsepower and transmission on the Can-Am a try. 🙄

Yeah the can am / BRP weasel engineers love to use the most complicated and expensive flimsy parts to make a machine that is used in dirt and rocks / bumps.

They do the same thing with snowmobiles.

Skidoo and Lynx are "polished in appearance" snowmobiles that are a nightmare to service and require special tools and single use fasteners everywhere.

Complete waste of time and energy trying to read the mind of french Canadian psychopaths.

I was recently out to dinner with my family. My 19yo cousin asked me if I'd ever been to Windrock because he was getting ready to go. "Yup, been all around that area with my p5."

He's currently got a 1000cc PoPo and said he was getting ready to trade it in a some wizzbang Canned Ham X something Maverick whatever. I asked if he'd considered a Talon. No belts. Solid transmission. Reliable.

Him: "They don't have enough power."

Me: "Do you really need 300hp to go an average of 12mph on the trails? Reliability>>>capability. "

He's young, but he'll eventually learn.

My nephew is thinking about getting into his first machine, looking at Can Ams and Polaris. I mentioned the Talon and he just says "ugly." Heh

Anyway, the Can Ams have won the last six Dakar rallies, and that's some grueling racing. I'm sure these machines are far from what you get in a showroom, of course, but still...

Have him talk to me!!🤓 I actually think our turbo Talon has more usable power and it the comes on much lower in the rpm on the Talon, which helps in technical riding. MAV is fun buuuutttttt…..🤣
