Been sitting here all weekend enjoying videos and talking about the awesome weekend we had with many from the site. We're going to try to make it again this fall as we really miss our friends already. Cheers from the Left Coasters!!!

I'm guessing he's using the new bungs from Moses???
New bungs would be fine but welding stock thin-wall high strength cage to the bung would lose strength at that weld. High strength steel losses its strength if super heated. If a thicker wall like Snuff or Delton used it would be ok.

It's all within 1/16" or better. The guy helping be (My uncle) is very specific. Way more than me thank God he spent probably 2 hrs measuring and cleaning everything we chopped 4 in front 4.5 middle and 5 rear. Dropped I. The slugs, spot welded. The cage set right on top perfectly. I thought no way were going to be grinding till 2 am. We got it all set in place then came another hr of measuring ECT. He's going to finish it up today. He's built 3 custom hotrods over the years for himself if it ain't perfect he will start all over.
