I asked her about a cabin rental for Friday and Sat night and she didn't say no, just said the January calendar wasn't up in their system yet. Have to wait till December, I guess they only run a month in advance on their system. Think she said something like $135/night for cabin

Their calendar fills up quick I will get a trailer booked soon as their calendar goes live for January.

Well I have bad news I called the KOA they were going to let me book for January now but the cabins are rented by firefighters for the 15-17th.

Definitely! I'm calling back next week just in case, but she wasn't sure of when the new calendar comes up. But yes I agree, they fill up asap!!
I'd like to get a cabin there vs loading up and traveling 30+ minutes to a hotel

The north trails has a camp ground and can make a weekend out of. Fort McCoy KOA has direct access to the north trails.

I stayed at the KOA several times. The connector Trail was very wet in September. I have a p5 and it was deep for me. Once you get past a connector Trail it was a lot better. You can get your pass online at recreation.org. also follow the rules carefully because they do give out Hefty fines if they catch you especially on the Forest roads.

I'ts been there since 2016 that's when we I met Justin and Adam from land o lakes on the forum we went there for lunch then completed yellow trail.

I've only seen standing water once it was a small loop from purple trail. What trail connector has standing water?

Yep, things are pretty stupid these days, I know three people who actually got sick from Covid, all recovered in a week and there taste a smell is coming back.

I only been there once, it was fun. Met with a few people up in Perry. I wouldn't mind doing the 6hr trip again, hopefully not as dusty as last time 😁😄
