Did you do the shift boot too? I don’t know about the newer Talon models, but on my 2020 it made a huge difference on heat into the cab.
I'm amazed what a difference a good shift gate makes, especially when changing direction. Hope you enjoy
Got a link or PN for something that fits? I'd be interested in doing that.Did you do the shift boot too? I don’t know about the newer Talon models, but on my 2020 it made a huge difference on heat into the cab.

I didn’t, but I’m going to have to go back in and do it. It does generate some heat!Did you do the shift boot too? I don’t know about the newer Talon models, but on my 2020 it made a huge difference on heat into the cab.
Agreed. Night and day differenceI'm amazed what a difference a good shift gate makes, especially when changing direction. Hope you enjoy
It will look like this when done. I cut the largest ring off the boot leaving a nice big rubber flange that I simply sandwiched between the metal frame and the stock shift gate.Got a link or PN for something that fits? I'd be interested in doing that.
Yep, that’s the style. The other link I shared was 1/2 the cost . But no matter it’s the style that works.
Install this upside down under the shift gate
Did you make any drainage holes at the bottom? I can see, with my OCD, that water would get in there during the cleaning process. It will look like this when done. Here is the part I used
It doesn’t fit that tight around the shifter, plenty of room for drainageDid you make any drainage holes at the bottom? I can see, with my OCD, that water would get in there during the cleaning process.
Good deal. With my luck water would collect and rust the shifter and then it would break off!It doesn’t fit that tight around the shifter, plenty of room for drainage
You definitely don’t want to break your “shifter”!Good deal. With my luck water would collect and rust the shifter and then it would break off!
Especially after going through water. The swamp ass is real.I didn’t, but I’m going to have to go back in and do it. It does generate some heat!
