I am new to 2021 Honda Talon 1000x
just a question what is the gear change tool used for ??
so far I have 300 km on it , all done last week ,only 1 word

Hey can you elaborate on what you mean by that? If not add a pic or something to help me understand. I'm not sure what you mean by gear change, gear as in transmission?

Also welcome to the club, I picked up my 21 x4 live valve about two weeks ago and at 90 mile (140km?)! Love it so far, cant wait to ride more!

Yes, It allows you to change the gears manually with the tool.
You should also read about the emergency valve.

Welcome. Had to use the tool only once on my P500 after over adjusting the clutch in a yard test drive. Good to do a trial find and fit before a trail ride.

Yep, if the electronics go knutz, you can shift into first gear (I believe) and limp back to the trailer.
