We're free here. I pretty much do what I want. Hunt, fish, eat wild game have millions of acres of Natural Forest to roam around as we please to camp, hunt fish also. Not sure what makes you think we're not FREE here.
It's your story you tell it any way you would like.

We have 20 million acres of U.S. Forest Service land to roam around on. That's not counting all the BLM land here. A lot of the Forest Service land is Wilderness area (no vehicles allowed). My wife and I packed in with our houses for 7 hours to get to this one lake to camp and fish at. I was even packing a pistol on my hip all the way. Sounds FREE to me. We only saw one person on the whole trip.

You hunt with 'California compliant' rifles, as well as only with the approved cartridge and bullet types, and only non-lead ammo. Hope your rifle of choice doesn't use a large capacity magazine, because you're SOL on that, too.

If that's what you call freedom, I want no part of your freedom.

But if you are happy with the CA government infringing upon your 2A protected rights, that's all that matters.

My dear man I have been to several pieces of the once great state of California.
You act as though carrying a sidearm on your side while riding a horse is a big deal, where I am from horses, guns and freedom are the norm.
My wife and adult children all carry everyday everywhere we go be it in a truck, on horseback (yes we own horses and ride often) or on foot.
We open carry concealed carry or a combination of both.
We also hunt with suppressed weapons, handguns, shotguns or rifles you no doubt have read about but cannot own.
If you measure freedom by the ability to wander through federal owned property then go be free and enjoy.
As for me the measure of freedom admittedly is markedly different.
Less government intervention would do us all better and leave the country in a much better way.

It doesn't effect me. I don't need to throw 30 rounds at an animal and hope I hit it. It usually takes one we'll placed bullet out of my rifle and I still have rounds left. I have no problem with copper bullets, they seem to be more accurate.
Not sure why everyone one is so up set that I live in California. This is a FREE country, you don't have to come here.

Now that is a fact i don't need to come there, trust one thing as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow I will not.
No one is upset that you live there we are just sick and tired of the perverse and extremely liberal policies affecting us.
California can do what it wants just keep it inside the very sloppy borders it possesses.
No one I know uses 30 rounds to hunt.
I do not justify my right to own weapons of my choice on hunting either.
Anytime you want to send an arrow, a bolt or a bullet downrange in a friendly competition please let's do.
I will wager well more than you can afford to lose that I won't lose.
Unlike California I along with many others on this forum can step outside to our fields or property and send rounds downrange all day.
Practice is what we do just because we can.

I can step outside and do the same thing. You don't know where I live or what I have.
You sound like a really unhappy person. Hope life gets better for you.
Oh quite the opposite very happy, just tired of the political world.
Enjoy life my friend we only get one go round.
I wish you the best.

Cali. is a beautiful state! I lived in the Bay area for about 6 yrs in the late 80's early 90's. They say 75% of it is uninhabited and I believe it. Housing and anything to do with the govt just costs too much for me to stay there. It's a shame what's becoming of SF. One of the prettiest cities I've ever seen.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out -
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out

Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out

Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

FYI: No one is "so up set (sic)". We are merely having a civil conversation, are we not?

It's still pretty, @trigger - so long as you overlook the rampant homelessness and homeless encampments in the city streets, people defecating on the sidewalks in front of you, the surging drug crisis and addicts laying all about the same streets, the rampant, surging crime rates, long time businesses closing almost every day, the plethora of illegal immigrants, massive over-regulation and government heavy-handedness, and the ungodly high tax burden.

I belong and support the NRA, I am a member and support several hunting groups which all fight for our gun and hunting rights. I can only do so much. If we don't win and the law passes, not my fault. You don't know me or what I do, but you make it sound like I stick my head in the sand.
