I finally got around to starting the official gun range at the homestead. As soon as I get more time I’m going to extend it to the right another 30ish feet and push enough dirt to raise my berm to 8+ feet.

A Ruger 10/22, for when the .308 is just too much.
A CVA Accura MR-X, for muzzleloader season.
A handgun, because it’s easier to carry than a cop. When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
The handgun should be a .357 Magnum, because getting hit with 6 hammers hurts a lot more than getting hit with 17 tennis balls.

Yep. I’ll admit, 9x19 ammo has gotten much better since that FBI shootout years ago. Now it’s more like getting hit with 17 golf balls.

@Russ989 I see you have the 20” SFAR. I have had the 16” version, before showing it off while ice fishing and accidentally dropping it down the hole. Tragic.
Mine shoots shot pretty nice with the right ammo. It simply hates hated that IMI stuff.

Mine shot well out of the box. Changing the weight of the buffer tub (heavier) made it operate and shoot better. Nothing wrong with the way mine came from the factory though. Have about 1500 rounds through it. Great AR platform that is easy to hunt with in 308
